Healthy Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing

Healthy Lemon Poppy Seed Dressing Recipe

Pouring oil into bowl salad dressing

When it comes to dressings, I’m too picky for my own good.  I have to have healthy ingredients, it needs to be low in points/calories, and it definitely has to taste good.  Sometimes I feel like I’m searching for the impossible.  This dressing is deliciously tangy and full of simple, healthy ingredients.

Bowl Full of Lemons

Makes: 5 servings

Serving Size: 1 tbsp

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 1/2 tsp honey
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Simply add all ingredients into a bowl and whisk together until blended.  Store in refrigerator for up to a week and be sure to give it a chance to come to room temperature before serving as olive oil will solidify in cold temperatures.

  1. I love that you can keep the dressing in the fridge for a week. I don’t really like honey taste but maybe I can substitute with agave. I’ll tell you how it works. I’m sooo happy you now have a blog ! I’ll have a lot of post ideas for you if you need it 😙
