We celebrated our friends’ wedding last weekend at one of the most beautiful spots in British Columbia. It was our first time there and since we brought along the dogs (as usual), we decided to stay in one of the cottages.
Since G was one of the groomsmen, we didn’t have a lot of time during the day to visit the hot springs but we took full advantage at night, which was just as gorgeous.
The morning of the wedding was hectic (as to be expected) but I found a few mins to relax with the pups before getting G into his tux and off to the groom’s room for photos.
I’m glad I started getting ready early because I discovered I had forgotten to pack my mascara (the horror, amiright?) which sent me running to the spa with hopes they had something to purchase. I could have hugged the spa employee when she handed me a brand new mascara tube from behind the counter.
I’m so glad I packed some fresh fruit, oatmeal and tea since I wouldn’t have had time to sit down or depend on room serivce. Only 4 weight watchers smart points for the bowl and it kept me full all day. You know the trick about boiling water in the coffee machine, right? Easy breakfast!
The wedding was absolutely gorgeous. It was so fun to watch such deserving friends find their happily ever after. G looked pretty sharp in his tux also. Out of respect for the professional photographers, everyone was asked to refrain from snapping photos during the ceremony.
Everywhere you look is beautiful, lush landscaping.
Or beautiful lake and mountain views.
Perfect place to grab a coffee and go for a morning walk. Although the weather wasn’t fabulous, we still had the best time.
We can’t wait to go back one day to really relax and enjoy what this beautiful resort has to offer.
